Well, I hinted over at the photoblog that I might be heading somewhere fun for the summer. Now, I'm not quite ready to give too much more info, lest I jinx it all, and because it's still not completely settled. I did get a partial chunk o' funding. I won't cover all my expenses, but most anyway. So all that's really left is getting the arrangements settled with the umm... organization over there. So, I'm optimistic, but there's still a lot of maybe hovering around.
So. Basic info:
Time: 8 week trip (plus or minus a few days)
Place: Very interesting place I've never been before, and I will tell you if I do get to go (you'd know from the pictures anyway :) )
Reason: It's vaguely academic, but I'll keep the specifics to myself.
On a side note, my roommate just got two tech industry job offers with starting salaries that I can only dream of seeing after years and years and years and years of work. Ah. Happy for him, but Ah.
Humanities. Why did it have to be humanities?
