Mind the Quiz

Hazah to the quizzers! Those noble souls who despite setbacks and earworms and Eddie Murphy videos continue to strive for lyrical success. Truly they are heroes of our time.

I was worried about Zerodoll, but she did come through with #7. Alas, googling is considered poor sportsmanship, but I do highly recommend youtubing the ones that you don't get after you give up. You will be rewarded by much head-slapping and truly horrible videos.

However, there was a bit of a stumble on numbers 8 and 10 last time 'round, which were Warrnt's 'Heaven' and Roxette's 'Dangerous.' To be honest, looking back at #10, I can understand why no one got that one. It's clear when you sing it, but it really isn't clear with just the lyrics.

Alrighty then, Fair warning, the Winamp radio that streams me my tunes has been set on the Classic Rock station, so that's what you'll be getting. Well, mostly. :)

Man, it's getting really hard to sneak one by you guys. The only one that got by way 'I am, I said,'

Also, I should know better than to question Gary's music knowledge - his grasp is all-encompassing. I had no idea that Randy Newman wrote 'Mama Told Me Not To Come.' Mr. Newman is everywhere, I tells ya. And he's (Gary, not Randy) has started up a review of a year that I'm particularly fond of: 1982.

Oh, yeah, Jayfish and I were in an art supplies store and they were playing old Micheal Jackson over the PA. I want the record to show that it wasn't only me who was singing. Well, maybe mostly me, but not only me.

All 10 well answered last time 'round, and I feel I should say that I'm either really impressed that Gary know that "All Right Now" was by Free, or I could be really spooked. Seriously. Free? Honestly, I'm just happy that there are still a few of you that still have me in your feed reader :) I'm still a day or two away from putting together any real posting (or photos - but I have been taking some!), but as I'm listening to a bunch of tunes, I feel that I should share in quiz format. Right, right, I'm still here, and I'll spare you the self-indulgent blather about why I'm not posting, except to so that it has been a spectacularly agonizing end of term. I'm sure I'll find time to whine about it later, but there is one thing that I can do without too much brain power, and it will make me feel happier too, and that's a lyrics quiz.
