5k – 26:49
Woohoo! I broke the 27 minute barrier! I actually felt pretty good on the run. A couple of times, I looked down at my watch to find out that I was going a little bit faster than I had feared. That’s good. I think I may even be able to get under 26:30 in a few runs. The big goal is to get an average for one of the kilometers under 5 minutes. Right now, I’m headed that direction, but we’ll see how things turn out. Here’s a screencap from the Nike software my watch uses. The software is pretty awful, but it does what I want it to do, so I can’t complain too much.
